What is Edge Position Control System? How it Works?
Edge Position Control System (as known as Edge Guiding System, Edge Position Controller, EPC System) is a device in using sensor to detect the edge of the web to keep the moving web at the right position. Edge Position Control Systems are widely used for Roll-to-Roll (R2R) machineries in film, paper, rubber, textile, metal industries, it increases efficiency, improves quality, reduces loses and labors.
Edge Position Control System consists of 3 main parts : Sensor, Actuator and Controller.
Sensor (Detector) is like human eye to see the web position.Actuator (Drive) is like human arm to move the mechanism.Controller is like human brain to coordinate eye (sensor) and arm (actuator).
